Rebrand of WestJet’s ultra low cost carrier Swoop Airlines. I was hired to lead the visual direction of a brand and marketing overhaul. Just two things had to stay: the logo, and it had to be PINK.

Our team was small, I worked with just a copywriter, designer, and account director – but we did some amazing work on shoestring budgets.

A promotional poster with a pink background showing two people jumping into the ocean, with one person holding another upside down. Text at the top reads 'You'll have more fun(d)s when you fly with us.' Includes a smiling face and globe icon, and the website FlySwoop.com at the bottom.
Grid of creative assets for Swoop, mostly in pink on a blue water texture background
Image of two onboard menu sheets for an airline, featuring snack and beverage options in pink and white text on a dark blue background.
Pink bus with advertising for cheap flights and pink theme, displaying the phrase "The ultra-not-expensive airline" and an "Out of Service" sign, with cartoon icons of a shopping bag, globe, and hand making a peace sign.
A collage of travel and flight-themed images with pink backgrounds, including advertisements for an airline, travel destinations, summer activities, sale announcements, and travel accessories.

I rebuilt the design system from the ground up, introducing a new type family, a secondary colour palette, and stickers.
